My today’s blog is demanded by my blog reader Kiran Kaur from Punjab. She wants to know about the selection procedure in internships. On my last blog, I mentioned some of the types of internships and I also suggest some outer paths to you for your better career. So, now my next blog is for telling you about the procedure to enrol in internship.
In some companies, the internship process may unpaid but this process provides people learning experience, practical knowledge which helps you to set the career goal. To apply for an internship, it is necessary to follow these criteria by the company.

Application procedure: In this process the company invites the candidates to enrol in this searching process through several mediums. But according to my opinion don’t wait for the company’s invitation for the process of recruitment, you can directly go to the company for your interview. Maybe you won’t selected for a particular company go ahead and try new companies. Once you will reach your goal you felt lucky about yourself. There are so many applicants come in the company for their internships but luckily some of them are hired because of their talents.
Recruitment process: The Recruitment process is a process of recognizing the vacancy, examining the requirements of the position, application reviewing, screening of the candidates, shortlisting the applications and at the end selecting the candidate for the right position in the work.
The recruitment process is not simple is that, and it is not easy to get internship in a good firm without having any type of skills, following are some skills which employers wanted from his intern.
What are the top 5 things companies wanted from his intern?

- Good Communication skills
- Positive attitude towards learning
- Team Collaboration
- Hard Working
Selection Test: After getting so many applications from candidates the organization conducta selection test process for the selected candidates, this process increases the chance of choosing the best applicant and so minimizing the high cost of recruiting the wrong people. It is based upon the formal interview session, which includes
- Aptitude test
- Intelligence test
- Personality test
Internship interview: In this process the company asked some general questions from the candidate but that questions much be in innovative way. For example, they will ask you question like “What do you know about our company”. It is very important that before going to the interview you must know at least some basic information about their company. Every organization expect from their employee to be knowledgeable about their workings.
Some General Internship Questions companies my ask from you-
Tell me a little bit about yourself.
What are the strengthens and weaknesses?
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Do you work better under pressure or with time to plan and organize?
Why are you interested in this internship?
Why should we consider you for this internship?
Internship offered: After selecting the position of the intern in the company. The organization offers an internship to the candidate and give invite to join the company.
Selection of designation: Selection refers to then you have been chosen for internship and they select your designation in the office. Your work is depending upon the designation assigned by the company.
Contract of internship: The contract of internship may vary from organization to organization. It starts from the period you entered in the organization and this contract in includes the details about your working duration, holiday, companion details and so on.
Working in team environment is a living experience itself. Getting knowledge from different personalities and accept different prospective is a skill that needs discipline, maturity, and patience. These three skills are the most important terms for your interview, and for career too.
As far as, my recruitment process is concerns. My manager saw the ability to discover internet in me, they saw the best in me with my habit of just exploring the internet the most. They told me once that it’s also a skill of yours. I just like to know each and everything which is knowledgeable. I really don’t know when my interview was conducted, they just put some questions from me about general internet sites. I easily gave that answers and I got selected.
Now, I am a part of an IT company. I learn new thing by working as team. Sometimes I teach something innovative to my team members and sometimes they tough me some technical field work. Working in a team environment is the place where there is so many opportunities to learn from. Collaboration is the art comes to meet the goal of developing others.
It can be learned through collaborating on group projects, participating in each and every group activity, hosting or planning large events of the company, implementing plans with subordinates.Working in a team environment can encourage more productivity while allowing everyone to focus on what they’re good at.
